The NIH gave us, together with our colleague Paul Thomas at St. Jude, a short-term grant to do some work on in vitro quantification of influenza virus.

Isaac Fung is moving on. After 2 years as a postdoc in our group, he is starting at the CDC as a Prevention Effectiveness Fellow. Congratulations on the new position!

Dr. Handel is again teaching a unit on "Infectious Diseases, Immunology and Within-Host Model" at the 3rd Summer Institute in Statistics and Modeling in Infectious Diseases at the University of Washington.

Together with our colleague, Dr. Beauchemin, we published a review article discussing the state of affairs for mathematical modeling of influenza infections in BMC Public Health. The paper is available in the publications section.
